Cabrillo Lighthouse
Come
and discover Caspar's own legendary 1909 Light Station
Where
History and Nature meet Gloriously!
"This
is a complete light station with nearly all the original structures and ranks
among the rarest of historic American buildings." -Maritime Historian Ralph
Shanks-
Three
light keeper families kept Point Cabrillo's 1909 beacon operating to protect
the lumber schooners that piled the hazardous Mendocino Coast. See historic
artifacts and photos plus displays of the amazing community-based overhaul that
restored the beautiful 3rd Order Fresnel lens to full operation.

of the Frolic" as documented by 'PBS Special'.
